What earthquakes do

Earthquakes can happen at any time at all. They destroy buildings and shops and loads of other stuff. This causes millions of pounds to be spent trying to repair the buildings. Loads of people are killed and you are lucky if you come away with a home not destroyed. A number of people get injured and a lot of people come away with no home or family. Let's hope that an earthquake doesn't hit you.
